Budget
The budget establishes a financial framework for municipal spending during the year and consists of revenue and appropriations. The annual budget also determines what services the Borough can provide to residents in the upcoming year and it ensures the Borough’s financial obligations are adequately funded (e.g. payroll, essential services, debt service) Key revenue sources for the Borough are property taxes, licenses, utility fees, state aid, etc.
User-Friendly Budget (UFB)
The User-Friendly Budget (UFB) is a simplified version of the budget document that seeks to present municipal budgets in a more easily comprehensible format. The UFB has three main objectives: to summarize the annual municipal operating budget, display information on key cost drivers, and better explain the municipal budget’s impact on local property taxes.
Audit Reports
The yearly financial audit is an examination of the Borough’s financial records, accounts, business transactions, accounting practices and internal controls.
