Cleaning of the Pond at Thomas West Park

Borough officials are are pleased to announce that starting Wednesday, June 4th, our Public Works employees will dismantle the fountain and prepare the park for the equipment that will be arriving on Thursday, June 5th for the cleaning project.

During the cleaning, some areas of the park and the pond will be temporarily closed to the public to ensure safety and allow crews to efficiently remove debris, invasive vegetation and accumulated sediment. The cleaning will improve water quality, restore natural ecosystems and enhance the overall beauty of our community space.

Thank you to Public Works Manager Marty Finger for his persistence in finding the right company for the job and to Mayor Sims and Council for supporting and approving this project.

The Pond is big part of Westville’s history so we appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to preserve this valuable public resource.
