  • Male arrested for being a wanted person during a motor vehicle stop on 3-4-2021.

  • Police responded to Pellegrino Chevrolet for a report of theft from a motor vehicle. Male was identified, arrested, and charged with Theft from a Motor Vehicle on 3-23-2021.
  • Male arrested for Driving Under the Influence during a motor vehicle stop on 3-28-2021.
  • Male arrested for being a wanted person during a motor vehicle stop on 3-28-2021.
  • Female arrested for being a wanted person while police investigated a disturbance call at Woodbine Apartments on 3-30-2021.

March 1, 2021

  • Meeting with borough officials at borough hall.
  • Discussion with Chief Whinna regarding various issues.

March 2, 2021

  • Spoke with resident on 100 block of Broadway regarding the placement of her trashcans and try to come to a solution. She is limited to her yard. I also discussed the placement of her address which is not displayed.
  • 200 block of Broadway – report of tires in front of the residence on a non-trash day. Spoke with the owner regarding the trashcans and tires who moved them into the rear yard until they can be properly disposed of.
  • New Street – spoke with the resident regarding a recent notice he received.
  • Summit Avenue 300 block – report of trashcans remaining at the curb one day after pickup, unfounded.

March 3, 2021

  • Chestnut Street 200 block – trashcans left at the curb line and per the complainant, the recycling can are there 24/7. A warning notice was delivered to the resident.
  • Harvard Avenue – issued a stop order for ongoing construction. The owner was advised to speak with the construction official the following day to discuss several areas of concern.

March 4, 2021

  • Ambler Street 100 block – received a complaint regarding the accumulation of trash and not being placed by the curb on scheduled trash day. Will check the location after next week trash pick-up and if there will contact the landlord.
  • Ambler Street 100 block – Ford F-150 pick-up truck with no registration. Will contact the police department for follow-up.
  • Broadway 500 block – met with the landlord regarding his property such as trashcans, lawn service and overall status of the property. He stated the trash will be removed on trash collection day and he hired a lawn service.
  • Broadway 900 block – spoke with the resident regarding operation of nail salon with Dennis Morina. The owner was advised to cease operations until state regulatory certificates are obtained and registered with the borough.
  • Delsea Drive 200 block – met with the landlord regarding his property such as trashcans, lawn service and overall status of the property. He stated the trash will be removed on trash collection day and he hired a lawn service.

  • Delsea Drive 600 block – pick-up truck with tarp covering and had not moved since the landlord received a letter to have the vehicle removed from the front yard.
  • Highland Avenue 300 block – met with the landlord regarding his property such as trashcans, lawn service and overall status of the property. He stated the trash will be removed on trash collection day and he hired a lawn service.
  • Summit Avenue 300 block – complaint received regarding trashcans being left along the curb before and after weekly trash pick-up.
  • Walnut Street 100 block – Ford F-150 in the yard with no cover, letter mailed to owner

March 8, 2021

  • Spoke with Dennis Morina regarding issues at various locations

Spoke with Superintendent Finger regarding ordinances and proper verbiage on signs.

March 9, 2021

  • High Street 300 block – low hanging wires, contacted the property owner. They will have someone respond to raise the wires.
  • High Street 300 – Mercury Mountaineer parked on vegetation, will speak with the owner when someone is at the residence.
  • Attended Westville Fire District meeting 1900 hours

March 10, 2021

  • Removed signage from utility poles
  • Met with Administrator Giles
  • Met with Chief Whinna

March 11, 2021

  • Broadway 100 block – U-Haul truck with ramp out for several days. Will locate the owner and talk to them.
  • Burr Avenue – construction trailer, bobcat, scaffolding in the driveway and yard. Complaint received there were several vehicles parked in the no parking areas of the street just prior to our arrival.
  • Delsea Drive 100 block – vehicles in the rear yard. Discuss with Dennis Morina.
  • Gateway Boulevard 700 block – trash alongside of the residence and vehicles in backyard in disrepair.
  • Delsea Drive 200 block – home inspection for upcoming purchase, information forwarded to borough offices.
  • Summit Avenue 300 block – several residents placing their trashcans along the curb line prior to designated trash collection day.

March 15, 2021

  • Ambler Street 100 block – follow up from resident concerning the accumulation to the rear of apartment. Letter will be sent to the owner making him aware of the violation since it was an ongoing issue.
  • Burr Avenue – tenant conducting business from his rented property. Will discuss with the construction office and other code enforcement official. Observed loading of construction equipment into pick-up trucks and trailers.
  • Delsea Drive 200 block – reinspection of property.
  • Attended Municipal court – two cases
  • Removed signs throughout the community.

March 16, 2021

  • Broadway 100 block – Teal Honda parked behind the business, spoke with the landlord regarding the ordinance and to speak with the owner of the vehicle.
  • Broadway 100 block – complaint received, red vehicle behind business. Need to locate the owner.
  • Delsea Drive 200 block – report of owner placing his trash out days prior to the scheduled trash day. Will discuss with D. Morina as the complainant believed he had a conversation with him previously.
  • Highland Avenue 300 block – trash cans placed in the front yard in violation of ordinance. No answer at the door, will stop back and explain the ordinance to them when owner located.
  • Highland Avenue 400 – vehicle parked in street with flat tires.
  • Third Avenue – New Jersey registered vehicle parked on the street with oil pan underneath for weeks.
  • Woodbine Avenue 200 block – Dodge pick-up truck owner had previously stated the vehicle doesn’t operate and may be unregistered.

March 17, 2021

  • Ambler Street 100 block – spoke with the landlord regarding the nature of a complaint received over the past two weeks regarding rubbish. He explained that other neighbors may be placing their trash into his tenant’s trash receptacle. We will both be monitoring the location to identify any individuals which may be doing such activity.
  • Broadway 100 block – Spoke with the landlord who will contact his tenants. If the vehicle belongs to the neighbors, he will contact me.
  • High Street 300 block – church had trash and debris on the grounds, was cleaned up while present.
  • Highland Avenue 300 block – met with the owner regarding the status of the yards and trees that had fallen. All issues should be resolved within two weeks. Work had stopped due to the weather in recent weeks.
  • River Drive 300 block – met with the owner regarding the status of the yards and trees that had fallen. All issues should be resolved within two weeks. Work had stopped due to the weather in recent weeks.

March 22, 2021

  • Meeting at the municipal building with the Mayor Sims and police officials regarding the upcoming meeting for town watch.

March 24, 2021

  • Delsea Drive 200 block – vehicle parking on the curb with oil pan underneath. New Jersey registration
  • Highland Avenue 300 block – vehicle parked in the rear; 2nd notice of violation sent to the landlord.

March 25, 2021

  • Almonesson Road 500 block – vehicle parked on the front lawn. Spoke with the owner and explained the ordinance to him.
  • Delsea Drive 200 block – tenant working on vehicles partially in the lane of travel, complaint received. Contacted the police department who had an officer speak with the individual.
  • Hillside Avenue – several boats on the street and on the vegetation. Owner advised.
  • Attended Town watch meeting at 1800 hours at the municipal building

March 29, 2021

  • Broadway 600 block – met with surrounding neighbors regarding trash issues behind their properties. Superintendent Finger was notified to clarify what is the Borough’s responsibility and that of the tenant. Once he was made aware of the situation, he would be addressing the trash issue tomorrow during the normal trash route day. I will be mailing letters to the residents of Broadway, Spruce and Oak Avenues.
  • Broadway 600 Block – report of an unregistered dog residing there, will check with the borough officials.
  • Spruce Avenue – construction debris on property, will be attempting to locate the new owner as it had been recently sold.

March 30, 2021

  • Broadway 300 block – continuous rubbish complaints, landlord contacted and advised to resolve the matter.

Broadway 600 block – no dog registered at the residence per the borough, will speak with the owner to confirm.

March 31, 2021

  • Summit Avenue 400 block – complaint received regarding a vehicle on the roadway under a tarp. The police department was contacted who advised me the owner was a victim of criminal mischief and the vehicle was covered due to the weather.
