Special Message from the County of Gloucester Tax Assessor……
Due to a change in State regulations for Gloucester County, be advised the appeal filing deadline has changed. Appeals must be filed between November 15, 2018 and January 15, 2019. You may call the Gloucester County Board of Taxation at 856-307-6448 for more information or visit them at 1200 N Delsea Drive, Building “A” in Clayton. You can also download the A1 Appeals form directly from the Board of Taxation page in the Gloucester County website. Additionally, Chapter 75 post cards will be mailed on or before November 15, 2018.
Responsibilities of Tax Collector:
The Tax Collector processes the billing and collection all property taxes as well as water and sewer fees. The Tax Collector’s office acts as the collecting agency for a number of governmental bodies, including Parkview School, Gateway Regional High School, the Fire District and Gloucester County.
• Tax bills are mailed once a year in July
• Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt property owners from paying taxes or the interest due on delinquent taxes
• There is a 10 day grace period. If the 10th day falls on a weekend/holiday, the grace period extends to the next business day
• Tax payments can be made in person at (165 Broadway), by mail, by using the Drop Box at the front door of 165 Broadway or online
Taxes are due quarterly: August 1, November 1, February 1, May 1

Veteran’s $250 Deduction. You must have been in active service during specific times.
A copy of DD214 Papers or Honorable Discharge Papers is required Proof of residency (Drivers License, etc.) Obtain a form in the Tax Collector’s Office. Must be the owner as of October 1st of the pre-tax year. No Age restrictions.
