The Westville Fire District, Board of Fire Commissioner’s has made a recommendation to Mayor and Council to join the Gloucester County Regional EMS System due to a shortage of EMT volunteers and cost saving measures. At the Borough Council meeting held on December 12, 2018, Mayor and Council passed a resolution to join the County EMS System and approved a Shared Service Agreement with Gloucester County.
Effective December 28, 2018 when calling 911 for an ambulance, Gloucester County Regional EMS will be dispatched and respond to your medical emergency. The Westville Fire Department will continue to respond with their utility truck to render your emergency service until County EMS arrives to your location.
The Gloucester County Regional EMS System currently serves nineteen of the twenty-four towns within Gloucester County. Westville will be the twentieth town to join the regional system.
