The Borough Clerk’s Office has the following responsibilities:
Secretary to the Borough Council- the Clerk’s Office maintains custody of all minutes, deeds, bonds, contracts and archival records of the Borough of Westville.
Secretary to the Governing Body – the Clerk’s Office prepares agendas for all public meetings of Mayor and Council; keeps official records of the meetings and retains all Resolutions, Ordinances and Minutes. This office also administers and records oaths, maintains custody of official documents, acts as liaison to the public and correspondent on behalf of the Borough Council.
The Borough Clerk is responsible by law to enforce State Election forms pursuant to N.J.S.A. The Borough Clerk is also responsible for certifying vacancies at the local level, maintaining receipt of nominating petitions and certification to the County Clerk of local candidates nominated by petition, furnishing material for local elections and maintaining receipt of election results.
The Borough Clerk is the Chief Registrar of Voters. Residents can obtain Voter Registration Forms and Vote By Mail Ballot from this office or by clicking on the form that you need.
